This is a fast paced soccer game for 2 players or two teams of players. Each player takes control of 1 or 2 footballers by moving magnets below the wooden playing table. The footballers themselves are magnetic and move in response. The players try to kick a small marble ball into their opponents goal. The first player to score ten goals wins.
As mothers we think this game ticks all the boxes. We have football mad sons, it is fast paced and they rush in from school to play (rather than switching on the TV), everyone in the family is hooked, it's wooden, it has no batteries, it's simple etc etc. Invented by a father and son team in Germany a few years ago, it sold 5000 games in Germany last year.
